How to read this
Each bar is the total return of a liquid fund that represents the asset class — US equities (S&P 500), long US Treasuries, gold, Bitcoin, crude oil and the US dollar — from the last close of the previous month (or year) to the latest close.
Comparing asset classes side by side shows where money is flowing. When equities, Bitcoin and oil lead while Treasuries and the dollar lag, markets are in a risk-on mood; the reverse usually signals caution. One month is noise; the year-to-date column and the longer trends matter more.
